Living like a rock star! Interview: Stjepan Hauser
2Cellos crossed the Croatian border long ago and conquered the world with their musical talent; they are winning many awards. They recently won a Porin, numerous awards in Japan and were awarded the with Marko Marulić Order of Croatian Danica for Culture, receiving the award for their Outstanding Contribution to the promotion of Croatian culture throughout the world. [Today] they announced their third album, and a new single - a cover of “I will Wait,” by the English folk-rock band, Mumford & Sons. The world premiere of the video showed the beautiful scenery of the Plitvice Lakes, breathtaking views, and the best way to promote Croatia throughout the world. On this occasion of the successful season that is behind them, and with announcements of their current and upcoming projects with this group of journalists, we spoke with Stjepan Hauser. During Stjepan’s exclusive interview with Gloria, he gave us some fascinating insights into his private and musical life. Where do you see yourself in ten years? On stage, all over the world, just as I am now. How do you relax? I try to be comfortable in any situation. Even when it comes to the most stressful situations, I try not to experience the stress, but approach them as something nice and relaxing. I try not to worry a lot and I try to have fun. This can sometimes be difficult, but I manage. What is your favorite collaboration? With Oliver Dragojevic! He is my favorite singer in the world. Who are planning your next collaboration with? I don’t know! There are a lot of offers, but it’s difficult to find the available dates with everyone with whom we would like [to play with]. It's hard to align our schedules. What is the difference between rock stars and celebrities playing the cello? There is no difference. It’s all about the attitude and behavior. You can be a rock star if you feel that way, and without doing anything [differently]. Do you feel more like a rock star? Absolutely! I’ve got a rock star lifestyle. I can’t reveal all the details, but I'll just say that other than drugs, anything else can happen.
